Somalia stands at a crossroads. For decades, corruption, division, and clan based politics have slowed our nation’s growth horribly. The youth of Somalia are no longer willing to inherit a broken system. Barwaaqo Somalia is a movement led by young Somalis, for all Somalis, with a vision for a united, prosperous, and just nation. Here, we share ideas, updates, and ways for every Somali to take part in building the Somalia we deserve.
Somalia’s future cannot wait. Every generation has a choice: accept the status quo or shape a better nation. The youth of Somalia face a dual challenge: inherited corruption and a fragmented political system. Barwaaqo Somalia exists to solve this.
We reject division. We embrace unity. We believe in meritocracy, justice, and accountability.
As Muslims, we are reminded that unity is not just a national duty, but a religious one. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “The believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts enforce each other.” Our faith teaches us that division weakens us, but unity and justice bring strength and blessings. Somalia is a nation where nearly 100% of the people are Muslim, and history has shown that when we return to our Islamic values of justice, consultation shura, and compassion, we find solutions to even the hardest challenges.
